Who's Lobbying for Whom: Siemens wants to talk to Queen's Park decision-makers

Siemens Energy Canada Limited was registered in-house by Arne Wohlschlegel, their president and managing director for Canada. The focus of their lobbying efforts was to speak to the government about the procurement rules associated with energy projects as detailed in Bill 5, Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act, 2025: which is now in force, specifically as it relates to global factories. Additional discussions were held around the development of a localized manufacturing strategy in the energy technology sector as a result of the requirements specified in Bill 5, specifically in regards to the Power Purchase Agreement on renewable energy and hydrogen/electricity market regulations.

New Registrations

Since February 14th, the Colleges Ontario led all organizations with 4 unique registrations made on their behalf. All remaining organizations had no more than 3 unique registrations.
