Tech giant Microsoft is lobbying the Ontario government on innovation policies, amongst other issues.
Microsoft Canada Inc. was registered to lobby this past week by Chris Barry, their president and corporate vice-president at the Microsoft Corporation. The purpose of the registration was to communicate with the government on policies and programs related to innovation, the digital economy, internet connectivity, and the adoption of information and communication technologies.
This is known as an "in-house" registration as the person made the filing is employed by the company they are lobbying on behalf of.
