“He was joking around,” Ford told reporters this Monday. “He just messaged me. But it’s a good thing, because we’ve gotta get out there and message. It’s a big impact for the tariffs. When you speak directly to the American people… they’re our closest allies.”

Liberal Leader Mark Carney’s quip about Premier Doug Ford making a cameo on Fox News may have landed with a bang at a campaign rally in Victoria, B.C., but some in Ontario conservative circles were less than enthused.
But Ford himself isn't bothered.
Carney, speaking to a packed room of Liberal supporters on Sunday night, earned roaring laughter as he joked about Canada’s approach to retaliating against U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs.
