Canada’s premiers are meeting Prime Minister Mark Carney today, with the growing trade war with the United States topping the agenda. The premiers want answers on how Carney plans to respond to President Trump’s Aug. 1 trade deal deadline. The Canadian Press reports.

Premier Doug Ford says he’s willing to slow down some major infrastructure projects if local First Nations oppose them.But where there’s agreement, he says the province will move “full steam ahead.” Global News reports.
