Liberal caucus chair James Maloney is dismissing Ontario's proposed tunnel under Highway 401 as "just an idea," despite Premier Doug Ford's call for the project to win national interest status.
Ford told reporters on Tuesday that he believed Prime Minister Mark Carney would designate the project for the feds' new fas-track approval process, though acknowledged not receiving any assurances from Ottawa.
“I believe he will; I just believe he will,” he said.
