Former federal health minister Jane Philpott, who is set to speak at next month's Ontario Liberal convention, says she's considering a return to elected politics.

Philpott, who also served as a health adviser for the Ford government, said a political comeback is "certainly one of the options" that she's considering, but not necessarily as a Liberal candidate.

“I have been asked to speak about improving health care in the province. I think it's perhaps known that my specific interest is around primary care and how we can make sure that everyone has access to a family doctor or a primary care provider, so that will probably be the focus of my speech,” she said, adding that she's "keeping all doors open."
