The Ontario Liberal Party will announce the full rules and timeline for its leadership race on Feb. 9, following an executive council meeting this Sunday that sources said marked a turning point after months of internal frustration.
Multiple party insiders confirm that the Feb. 9 deadline will include the release of all key details governing the race: nomination timelines, campaign start and end dates, registration fees and voting procedures.
The deadline was agreed to during Sunday’s council meeting, with another executive council meeting scheduled before Feb. 9 to finalize remaining details.
