Ontario's provincial government is looking to simplify the process of looking for a new job by requiring all job postings to include an expected salary range.
"Finding the next job has gotten even harder," said Labour Minister David Piccini during a press conference in Peterborough, Ont. "Despite nearly 250,000 jobs in Ontario going unfilled every year, recently, job seekers have faced a never-ending stream of resumes, cover letters, interviews, and multiple rejections in a cycle that sometimes feels like it will never end."
"After all that work, when you’ve finally made progress, god forbid you get that offer for a job that sometimes doesn’t pay enough to pay the bills or pays less than the one you already have."
