The Ontario government is asking for bids from vendors to construct the Pape tunnel and an elevated guideway to serve a promised new subway line in Toronto.
On Tuesday, the province announced it was issuing requests for proposals for construction work on the promised Ontario Line that will stretch from downtown Toronto to the city’s north.
"This milestone brings us one step closer in our vision to build Ontario with the roads, bridges, highways and transit needed to move the economy forward,” Associate Transportation Minister Stan Cho said in a statement.
