Ontario Government adds another month to holiday legislature break

MPPs will now be away from Queen’s Park until March 23, meaning more than three months with no legislative action for the province.

Ontario Government adds another month to holiday legislature break

The Ontario government introduced a motion to add a month to the Legislature’s holiday break Thursday, meaning that MPPs will be away from Queen’s Park until March 23. They were previously due back in the chamber on February 17. The official calendar on the Legislature’s website has already been changed.

The government tabled, then passed, a motion to adjourn the Legislature for the holiday a little before 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
