Ontario extending fuel and gas tax cuts

The move comes one week before the federal carbon tax hike is scheduled to rise from $65 to $80 per tonne on April 1.

Ontario extending fuel and gas tax cuts

Ontario is extending fuel and gas tax cuts until the end of year.

This will reduce the gas tax by 5.7 cents per litre and the diesel fuel tax by 5.3 cents per litre.

The announcement was made this Monday in Mississauga, one week before the federal government increases the carbon tax and a day before Ontario tables its budget.
