Ontario committee debates future of Sir John A. Macdonald's statue

Members of the committee of procedure and house affairs met Thursday to what to do with the highly controversial Sir John A. Macdonald statue at Queen's Park.

The committee, formed by Ontario MPPs and historians, was tasked with the mission of finding alternatives about where to place Sir John A. Macdonald’s statue, which is currently in the south part of Queen’s Park, and has been boarded up for almost four years due to recurrent vandalism.

They've also sought out the participation of five Indigenous community members of varying relationships and territories.
