Ontario's auditor general is set to release four special reports today, looking into major government programs on child care, skills development and pollution reduction.
Auditor general Shelley Spence's office is set to report on the implementation of the national $10-a-day child-care program in Ontario, where fees are capped at $22 a day.
Creating enough child-care spaces to meet demand has been a challenge in Ontario and the province has not yet signed an agreement with the federal government to extend the program beyond March 31, 2026.
