Ontario and Manitoba are joining forces to dismantle long-standing interprovincial trade barriers, committing to a deal for trade of goods and services, including direct-to-consumer alcohol sales by the end of June.
This Wednesday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) pledging to eliminate the trade barriers between the two provinces and increase labour mobility.
The deal will also allow consumers in both provinces to purchase wine, beer, and spirits directly from producers across provincial borders.
