Ombudsman names permanent French languages services commissioner

Carl Bouchard has served as the interim commissioner since March 2023 after over three years of leading the French language services unit within the Ombudsman’s office as its director of operations.

Ombudsman names permanent French languages services commissioner

Ontario's interim French language services commissioner will now serve in the role on a permanent basis.

Carl Bouchard has served as the interim commissioner since March 2023 after over three years of leading the French language services unit within the Ombudsman’s office as its director of operations.

His appointment to the permanent role, made by Ombudsman Paul Dubé, was announced Monday and came after what the ombudsman's office called an "extensive nationwide search."
