There's a mysterious move afoot to push Premier Doug Ford's Ontario PC government to adopt more fiscally conservative policies. Dubbed Project Ontario, the initiative quietly launched over the weekend, criticizing Premier Ford’s PCs for not being conservatives enough. CBC reports.

Ontario's housing starts for the first quarter of this year were at the lowest levels since 2009. We only had 12,700 units in Q1 2025, a 20 per cent drop from Q4 and the weakest performance since the 2008 financial crisis. The Canadian Press reports.
