The Ontario Medical Association’s newest president says the problems plaguing the province’s health care system are chronic, but the urgency to solve them is being accelerated.
Dr. Andrew Park, an emergency care doctor from London, was sworn in Thursday as the first East Asian president in the OMA’s 143-year history.
“It’s a humbling experience,” Park said of being elected to head the physician advocacy group. “The support from the Asian community, the medical community and the community as a whole has been amazing.
