NDP calls for specialized tribunal teams to deal with 'historic' backlogs

Ontario needs to do more to clear the thousands of backlogged tribunal cases, the NDP said.

There are over 32,800 cases backed up at the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB); 8,979 cases at the Human Rights Tribunal; 16,204 cases at the Auto Accident Benefits License Appeal Tribunal; and more than over 9,700 at the Social Benefits Tribunal, NDP MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam said on Thursday alongside MPP Jessica Bell.

"Welcome to Doug Ford's Ontario," Wong-Tam said.
