MPP Chris Scott no longer a member of PC caucus

Chris Scott, the Progressive Conservative MPP for Sault Ste. Marie, has left the PC caucus, the Premier’s Office confirmed Monday morning.

“Chris Scott is no longer a member of the PC caucus,” the Premier’s office wrote in a brief statement to the Queen’s Park press gallery, offering no further details about the departure.

The Premier’s Office is now directing all questions to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, but neither the government nor local police have confirmed whether Scott is under investigation or facing any allegations.
