Senator Hassan Yussuff is no stranger to Donald Trump’s tariff threats.

The longtime labour leader served on then-prime minister Justin Trudeau’s NAFTA council during Trump’s first term, providing guidance during those earlier trade talks that led to the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement, better known by its acronym CUSMA.

But Canada is dealing with a different Trump this time around, according to Yussuff.
