Mayoral race heating up: Bradford unveils eight-point e-bike safety plan targeting ‘mini motorcycles’

Among the measures is a fast-tracked amendment to Toronto’s municipal code that would explicitly ban mini-motorcycles and other motorized vehicles from bike lanes, cycle tracks and multi-use trails.

Toronto mayoral candidate Brad Bradford is spicing up the race.

He is pitching a sweeping crackdown on what he calls "dangerous motor-style e-bikes."

Bradford says motorcycle-style devices operating on Toronto streets should face the same licensing and insurance requirements as other vehicles on the road.
