A new poll has Doug Ford's Progressive Conservatives holding a double-digit lead over the opposition, though warns that some voters would shift allegiances if an early election is called.

The Liaison Strategies polls shows the PCs drawing the support of 39 per cent of leaning and decided respondents, compared to 28 for the Liberals and 21 for the NDP.

In the 2022 election, the PCs drew the support of roughly 41 per cent of voters, winning 83 seats. The Liberals were a distant second with nearly 24 per cent of the vote, though the party only garnered eight seats. The NDP finished second in the seat haul with 31, despite winning around five thousand fewer votes than the Liberals.
