When Olivia Chow was elected mayor of Toronto in the summer of 2023, Premier Doug Ford didn’t mince words.

“An unmitigated disaster” is how he described her pending tenure just days before the vote.

But less than 48 hours after she won, the premier changed his tune offering a working relationship few predicted would last.
