A splashy new look at the future of Ontario Place was unveiled this Tuesday, and includes a massive spa, a new parkland, and a multi-storey parking garage that Premier Doug Ford is touting as a money-maker.

With no opening date for the new Ontario Science Centre in sight and tensions still running high, Ontario Place remains a construction site — and a political lightning rod.

But while the province showcased a vision of trails, fountains, and photo ops, there’s still no confirmed opening date for the project as a whole, nor for the new Ontario Science Centre that’s supposed to anchor it.
