On Friday, the federal government began efforts to spread out refugees staying in churches into hotels across the province as part of a program launched in June 2022.

The Ontario government says it’s removing developer Sajjad Hussain from the province’s Species at Risk Program Advisory Committee. He was appointed on Aug. 31, months after he settled allegations in court that he and his business partner misappropriated millions of dollars in a Markham townhouse development.
