Premier Doug Ford has announced the government is pouring $14 billion into a new hospital in Mississauga that the province says is set to become the largest teaching hospital in Canada. The Canadian Press reports.

Ontario’s ombudsman is urging Premier Doug Ford to address a “growing crisis” in overcrowded jails with complaints skyrocketing 55 per cent and judges dropping or reducing charges against some inmates because of poor treatment and living conditions. The Star reports.
