Ontario union leader Fred Hahn has refused to resign after the union called for it due to antisemitism accusations.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario vice-president released a statement saying that the past few days have been "the toughest and saddest" of all his career.
"CUPE Ontario has a long history of solidarity with the people of Palestine," he wrote in the statement. "I respect the democracy of the union, I maintained then, as I do now, that the members should decide."
