Premier Doug Ford is vowing to “look into” a controversial decision by an Ontario judge he appointed, after she refused to impose a mandatory jail term on a five-time impaired driver who was high on fentanyl and driving the wrong way down a Mississauga street.

“We’ll look into that,” Ford said when asked by QP Briefing about the case.

“We have great judges. But we have some weak-kneed ones that make big-time mistakes. Keep calling these ridiculous sentences out… because who does that, right? The guy’s been impaired five times and you let him out? You gotta be kidding me.”
