The National Council of Canadian Muslims has launched an online campaign calling on the public to contact Ford and urge him to "call [Ghamari] out on her actions."

Ontario Premier Doug Ford is making a plea for peace in Ontario in the wake of the Israel-Hamas conflict prompting an increase in antisemitism and Islamophobia across the province.

"No matter if it's antisemitism or Islamophobia, it has no place in Ontario," Ford told reporters during an unrelated press conference, adding that the issue has been "weighing" on him.

"I have a great relationship with the Muslim community. I have a great relationship with the Jewish community," continued Ford. "Anyone outside of those communities, I can ensure you they want people to live peacefully here in Ontario."
