Ford scraps deal with Musk's Starlink after Trump imposes tariffs

Doug Ford is pulling the plug on Starlink.

He said Monday that Ontario would scrap its $100 million broadband deal with Elon Musk's company, as well as ban U.S. firms from bidding on provincial contracts.

It's part of the province's response to U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to impose 25 per cent tariffs on most Canadian products, starting on Tuesday. Trump said there would be a lower 10 per cent tariff on energy products.
