Premier Doug Ford said federal Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre didn't ask for his help in the upcoming federal election in a recent call, and doubled down on his pledge to stay "out of the race.”
Ford said the Monday call was the first time he had ever spoken to Poilievre despite the fact the two are the most prominent conservative politicians in the country.
The Toronto Star reported this week that Poilievre used the call to ask for Ford's help during the federal campaign, expected to kick off on Sunday.
