Ford announced plans to expand production of its F-series pickup trucks at the company's plant in Oakville, Ont., starting in 2026.

The American automotive giant expects to invest $2.3 billion in the southern Ontario facility to prepare it for production of new Ford Super Duty trucks, also known as the F-250. According to Ford, the announcement will result in 100,000 additional units and create 1,800 jobs.

Another 150 jobs will also be added at the company's engine-manufacturing plant in Windsor.
