Premier Doug Ford said this Monday’s premiers’ meeting with Prime Minister Mark Carney was the “best in a decade,” marking a shift in tone from the Trudeau era. Ford talked about national unity in the face of escalating U.S. tariffs and praised the group’s focus on “nation-building” infrastructure projects. The Canadian Press reports.

The Ontario government is pushing Barrie and surrounding municipalities to get to a deal regarding the 930 hectares of land the Barrie is aiming to acquire by the end of September. A letter from the province’s land facilitator scooped by QP Briefing explains why.
