With Pierre Poilievre losing his longtime seat of Carleton in a stunning upset, federal Conservatives are already pointing fingers—and Premier Doug Ford is taking some of the blame.

During the night of the federal vote, Ontario’s premier faced fierce backlash from within Conservative ranks for allegedly undermining their campaign and sowing internal division, mostly by being vocal in the media about his thoughts on the federal campaign and also the federal leader, while also complimenting Prime Minister Mark Carney.
