The Toronto native positioned herself as a centrist candidate for the centre-left party, claiming to be a “socially progressive, but fiscally responsible” leader.

Mississauga Mayor, and former one-term Liberal MP, Bonnie Crombie made her debut as a candidate for leader of the Ontario Liberal Party Wednesday night, entering the race with an  energetic speech focused on calling out Premier Doug Ford’s mismanagement of the province.

Less than a month after teasing her candidacy by launching an exploratory committee and touring the province, Crombie officially registered to run for leader of the Ontario Liberal Party Tuesday night, June 13, making her the fourth candidate to enter the race.

Introduced by a slickly produced video and MPP Stephanie Bowman, Crombie took to the stage at Mississauga Metalworks Studios surrounded by campaign staff and supporters.
