Advocates urge province to stop proposed quarry in Milton ahead of upcoming byelection

ACTION Milton says what the government decides to do with the quarry proposal will impact the PCs' fate in the upcoming byelection.

A citizens' advocacy group is calling on the province to halt plans for a quarry in Milton that has been under evaluation since 2018.

Members of ACTION Milton, an advocacy group formed by citizens and councillors of Milton, on Thursday made a public call for the government to scrap the project.

James Dick Construction Limited filed an application to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in the hopes of reactivating a former gravel pit and quarry in Milton.
