A majority of Torontonians are proud of their city and feel it is safe: poll

Unsurprisingly, only four per cent of Torontonians said they were most proud of the Maple Leafs.

A recent poll from Mainstreet Research suggests a majority of Torontonians are proud of their city and feel it is safe.

Following a series of transit attacks over the past couple of months, Toronto residents continue to have immense pride in their city, with a plurality of the 1,947 respondents saying they feel safe.

The poll found that 44 per cent of Torontonians feel somewhat or very safe in the city, compared to 32 per cent who responded they feel somewhat or very unsafe.
