Some 500 autoworkers will be without work at the end of this week as General Motors ends one of three shifts at its assembly plant in Oshawa, Ont. Global News reports.

Last year, the Ford government’s landmark overhaul of policing laws in Ontario finally took effect, five years after it was first tabled. The new legislation, however, did not come with any new funds for local police forces to handle the changes. Global News has this one too.
