<li>We can already say that a PC majority government is pretty much inevitable. Our polling and models combine to give us the following seat projections; PCs 72, NDP 24, Liberals 13, Greens one, and 14 tossups.</li>
<li>Of the tossups, the NDP and Liberals are each competitive in about seven to nine, and some of those are close three-way races. It is important to note, however, that the Conservatives are competitive (within two per cent) in all 14 of those ridings. So, if they only win half of them, they could net about 79 seats.</li>
<li>The parts of the story yet to be written about this election are which party will become the official opposition and which party leaders will survive election night.</li>
<li>Today, we're seeing some marginal gains for the Liberals in Toronto and even the GTA, and overall they are also regaining some of their lead over the NDP in the popular vote.</li>
<li>As we get closer to election day we think there's potential for the Liberals to get closer to the NDP in seats. We also think that a lot of those close riding results may well come down to the strengths of the local candidates and their organizations. Those will be the factors that help determine the fate of those 14 tossup ridings.</li>
