Official Opposition Leader Patrick Brown asked whether Premier Kathleen Wynne had confidence in her cabinet, namely the Health Minister, Minister of Children and Youth Services, and Minister of Community and Social Services. Wynne replied that absolutely she did and denounced the question as a personal, divisive attack, to standing ovation from the Liberals.
Brown asked Health Minister Eric Hoskins about funding to the Scarborough hospital.
Brown then asked the Premier which cabinet member leaked climate change documents and whether she still had confidence in those members, citing cabinet shake-up rumours also in The Globe and Mail.
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath asked Finance Minister Charles Sousa whether the government would stop the further sell-off of Hydro One shares.
Horwath asked about hospital repairs and if Hoskins would release all information on which hospitals are getting what and when from the government, citing FOI documents her party obtained.
PC MPP Vic Fedeli asked Sousa about this morning's Financial Accountability Officer's report saying the government was restricting full disclosure, asking the finance minister: "Are cabinet leaks and criminal investigations the only way we can get the facts here?" Sousa said his cabinet had worked in good faith with the FAO.
NDP MPP Catherine Fife asked about the FAO's report and a lack of oversight and restrictions on disclosure of information, saying the Premier is trying to muzzle another independent watchdog.
Liberal Sophie Kiwala asked soon-to-be-rechristened Aboriginal Affairs Minister David Zimmer about the government's response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's report released on Monday and plans to boost indigenous communities and relations.
Brown asked the Premier about religious freedoms and a bill that would allow for a motorcycle helmet exemption for Sikhs who wear turbans under the Highway Traffic Act.  She said she agrees with religious accommodation but that safety trumps all.
NDP MPP Sarah Campbell asked about a child's death in Grassy Narrows and whether  Minister of Children and Youth Services Tracy MacCharles would back the call for a coroner's inquest. Campbell's supplementary asked about access to mental health services in remote areas with indigenous populations.
Liberal MPP Daiene Vernile asked Attorney General Madeleine Meilleur about steps being made to improve LGBTQ2S youth following an announcement this morning.
PC MPP Sylvia Jones asked about a child in her riding who is about to become ineligible for autism therapy and would the Ministry of Children and Youth Services reverse the decision.
NDP MPP France Gélinas asked about a Grassy Narrows report on mercury contamination in the river system, and how the government would respond.
Liberal Grant Crack asked Agriculture Minister Jeff Leal about beefing up cattle farmers, whose association served up a barbecue lunch at the legislature today. Meaty puns abound.
