The bill would ban non-compete clauses in contracts, mandate employers with more than 25 employees to create "disconnecting-from-work" policies, <a href="https://www.qpbriefing.com/2021/10/20/government-to-ensure-washroom-access-for-truck-drivers-and-delivery-workers-through-legislation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ensure washroom access for delivery drivers, </a>crack down on temp agencies and recruiters and make it easier for some professions' international credentials to be recognized in Ontario.
Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development Monte McNaughton joins the QP Briefing podcast to discuss these proposals and the government's plan to increase the minimum wage to $15. He also addresses criticism related to some of these changes and responds to a question about whether these announcements have anything to do with the upcoming provincial election.
