<p><strong>Top Sector:</strong> The Manufacturing sector receives almost 75% of the amount disbursed this week, $142.7M of more than $190.4M in disbursements.</p>

<p><strong>Top Region:</strong> Ontario receives 98% of all federal and provincial funds disbursed in Canada during the week ~ $187.5M.</p>

<p><strong>Top Recipients in Ontario</strong>:  The top three beneficiaries of federal and provincial stimulus funding this week by sector are:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Business: Ford Motor Company of Canada</strong> receives up to $71.6M through the Automotive Innovation Fund and a grant of up to $70.9M through the Government of Ontario. The funding supports the transformation of the company’s Oakville Assembly Plant into a state-of-the-art global manufacturing facility.<strong><br />
Olav Haavaldsrud Timber Company</strong> receives a conditional grant of $11.87M through the provincial Forest Sector Prosperity Fund, a $17.8M loan guarantee through the Forest Sector Loan Guarantee Program, and $1M from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation. The forestry company has opened the Becker Cogeneration Plant, creating 20 new jobs and saving 100 more at a nearby mill.<br />
<strong>Dairy Farmers of Canada</strong> receives $12M through the federal AgriInnovation Program to lead a research cluster to keep the Canadian dairy sector profitable and sustainable.</li>
<li><strong>Hospitals &amp; Universities: </strong>The federal and Ontario governments announce no new investments in this sector this week.</li>
<li><strong>Charities, Non-Profits &amp; Public Sector:</strong> The <strong>Canadian Youth Business Foundation</strong> (CYBF) receives $626,000 from FedDev Ontario and the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) to provide entrepreneurship training for up to 225 young entrepreneurs and seed funding to help launch up to 12 new businesses in southern Ontario.<br />
The <strong>Conseil des organismes francophones de la région de Durham</strong> receives $92,000 from Canadian Heritage for projects and cultural activities.</li>
