Top Sector: Arts, Culture & Community is the top sector this week, attracting $78.4M, more than 90 per cent of the total amount disbursed.

Top Region: Quebec receives almost 75 per cent of the total amount disbursed. This is the second consecutive week that the province receives the highest levels of funding.

Top Recipients in Ontario: The top beneficiaries of federal and provincial stimulus funding by sector are:

Business: Flying Colours Corp. receives $1,205,500 from the provincial Eastern Ontario Development Fund to expand production and create 60 new jobs. The company specializes in the creation, maintenance and refurbishment of aircraft.
Hospitals, Universities & Research Centres: No new announcements this week.
Charities, Non-Profits & Public Sector: The Ontario SPCA receives an annual funding commitment of $5.5 million from the Government of Ontario. This represents the largest provincial funding award for animal welfare in Canada.
