Kent Emerson, the former director of operations for Finance Minister Charles Sousa's office, has taken on a new job as an associate vice-president at the Municipal Property Assessment Corp.

Emerson had been on Sousa’s staff for over eight years, where he helped the government table four budgets. Sousa announced the move in a Facebook post that noted Emerson is also "a talented jazz musician who performed professionally for many years in NYC before politics."

Dan Skilleter, a respected, former policy adviser for Sousa, has now stepped into a similar position in Premier Kathleen Wynne's office, as a senior policy adviser.
