<p>Thanksgiving is filled with traditions: turkey, checking out the latest arts and crafts on the fridge, and people rolling their eyes at what Uncle Bob has to say.</p>
<p>For all the traditions, every family celebrates in their own way. So <em>QP Briefing </em>saw fit to ask Ontario's party leaders what their Thanksgivings look like, and here's what they have in store.</p>

<p><strong>QP Briefing: What does a typical Thanksgiving look like in the Horwath household? Are there any special traditions or rituals? </strong></p>
<p>Thanksgiving is all about family for me.  Every year my brothers and sister and I try to get together with our kids.  This year I’m headed out to Cambridge with my son Julian to spend time with my sister and her family. Our get-togethers always include lots of baked goods.  Pies or cheesecake are my regular contributions.</p>
<div><strong>What's your favourite Thanksgiving food, and what's the secret to making it taste so good? </strong></div>

<div>Like most families, we always do a turkey and for many, many years I’ve been in charge of the gravy.  It doesn’t matter where we are — my place, my sister’s, or with my brothers — I always do the gravy and I have to say, it’s the best.</div>

<div><strong>What's Andrea thankful for this year? </strong></div>

<div>I’m thankful for my family and friends — who I don’t get to spend as much time with as I’d like, but who are always there for me with a supportive shoulder when I need them. I’m also thankful every single day for the privilege and honour of serving my community in Hamilton and families across Ontario.</div>

<h3>Patrick Brown</h3>
<p><strong>What are you up to this Thanksgiving? </strong></p>
<p>I've got literally a gazillion events. Saturday is a very busy day; there are 11 events total. But Sunday and Monday I've told the team I'm going to be at home.</p>
<p>Sunday will be in Barrie. We will have turkey. Lots of turkey. I've also managed to book a shinny game — I've booked the ice. And the reason I booked the ice is it means if you play hockey with your buddies, you can eat that much more turkey ... it will make me conscience-free as I enjoy a large Thanksgiving dinner.</p>
<p>On Monday, much of my Dad's side of the family is in Toronto, and we'll go there. My grandmother is 103 years old, and sharp as anything. We try to make it as convenient for her as possible, and she lives in Toronto.</p>
<p><strong>What's your favourite Thanksgiving food? </strong></p>
<p>I think the favourite is always turkey. Turkey and a good gravy and stuffing. My grandmother used to make this amazing potato dish, but she's lost her sight so some of the delicacies I grew up with and treasured around Thanksgiving we don't have anymore.</p>
<p><strong>What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving? </strong></p>
<p>I'm thankful my family is still healthy. The fact I have a grandmother who is healthy at 103, I feel very blessed, and I have dinner with her every week. To say, at age 39, that I still have a grandparent, I feel fortunate.</p>

<div>There are too many things to name. But, if I had to pick one to share, it would be for the time I am able to spend with my family this weekend. I'm so lucky to be in a position where I can celebrate with my grandchildren and my parents — four generations.</div>
