‘Don’t force my hand,’ Premier Ford warns education unions tempted to strike
CUPE-repped education workers recently voted to strike if negotiations stall.

During a press conference at the train station on Bridge Street in downtown Niagara Falls on Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, Premier Doug Ford announced the Ontario government is bringing back year-round weekend GO rail service between Union Station and Niagara Falls. The service, which will include two round trips each day, will go beyond the previous seasonal end date of Oct. 15.
