ServiceOntario provides convenient access for government information and transactional customer-facing services and has a vision of “Government made better through service excellence and innovation.” Customer service excellence, program integrity and cost efficiency are the core priorities supporting the ServiceOntario mandate.
ServiceOntario is seeking an experienced operational leader that inspires growth, engagement, motivation, and goal achievement with partners, leaders and team members and will have utilized exceptional interpersonal skills to foster effective partnerships in the achievement of positive outcomes and overall organizational goals.
The ideal candidate is experienced in being the ‘face' of a major customer service organization and will transform customer service for citizens and businesses in Ontario, including the promotion of online service delivery.
What can I expect to do in this role?
Reporting to the Deputy Minister of Government and Consumer Services, the Associate Deputy Minister and Chief Executive Officer of ServiceOntario will be responsible for:
<ul>
<li>Continuing to focus on integrating and transforming government services while increasing customer satisfaction and organizational efficiency.</li>
<li>Ensuring that ServiceOntario leads and supports efforts to transform how citizens and businesses interact with government.</li>
<li>Ensuring that ServiceOntario continues to promote a sustainable, convenient and cost-effective multi-channel service delivery network.</li>
</ul>

Senior Executive Leadership:
<ul>
<li>You are an inspiring and inclusive senior executive with a background in operational excellence, business transformation, developing strategic direction and championing best models and practices.</li>
<li>You have experience as an executive in leading large, multi-functional teams of senior managers and professional staff to deliver results in a complex organizational environment.</li>
</ul>
Strategic and Operational Leadership:
<ul>
<li>You have experience leading large scale service delivery business operations, with attention to customer needs, issues management, program integrity and cost efficiency.</li>
<li>You are experienced in driving and managing change to modernize business operations.</li>
<li>You have proven track record of articulating and promoting a strategic vision for multiple lines of business.</li>
<li>You have had success growing businesses where strategic planning, growth and cost management are an integral part of the role.</li>
</ul>
Customer Service and Relationship Management:
<ul>
<li>You are a champion of customer service excellence and have created best-in-class customer service cultures.</li>
<li>You have demonstrated capability to build strong internal partnerships and external networks to deliver new service offerings and drive business growth.</li>
<li>You are a sophisticated communicator with superior public relations skills to support internal teams, represent government and broker business opportunities.</li>
