Speaker shuts down Tory motion to debate Election Act charges

Government House Leader Yasir Naqvi had raised the concern two weeks ago on a point of order, saying the motion violated the standing-order rules because it contained a “factual error,” made allegations against a member and dealt with matters that are sub judice.
