National carbon price to start cheaper, rise faster than that of Ontario’s cap-and-trade system
Cost isn’t everything, though; the federal government says provinces who use cap-and-trade systems must have 2030 emissions targets equal to or greater than Canada’s, which is 30 per cent below 2005 GHG levels.
